Situated at Main Ridge, just over an hour from Melbourne, Mainly Sewing is surrounded by a beautiful, manicured garden. The residence has a spacious, well-lit sewing and craft room, enabling you to spread out and get creative from the moment you arrive! Of course, there is also all of the attractions of the Mornington Peninsula at your doorstep to enjoy.

Accommodation

The Mainly Sewing residence has split systems throughout for your heating and cooling comfort and sleeps up to 12 guests in 5 bedrooms (all with XL single beds):- 1 x 4 bed, 1 x 3 beds, 2 x 2 beds, 1 x 1 bed. We have quality doonas and linen, including 1000TC sheets, and soft, fluffy bath sheets as well as luxurious hotel-quality beds. There are 3 bathrooms at Mainly Sewing each with shower and toilet facilities. There are 2 separate powder rooms making a total of 5 toilets.

The large well-lit, separate creative space is ideal for almost any craft pursuit including patchworking and quilting or applique, embroidery, sewing or scrapbooking. Adjoining the main Sewing Room is a large area with cutting table, 2nd design wall and comfortable areas to sit and hand sew with lots of natural light. Another adjoining area is set up for ironing which keeps your workspace uncluttered. There is also a 3rd design wall and wide, full length mirror for dressmakers.The retreat offers a creative environment where you can make progress on projects, enjoy the company of friends and relax in a peaceful, relaxing setting. With a large split system to ensure the climate is just perfect in the work area.Set up for your exclusive use at mainly Sewing are:- Large white work table measuring 5.25m x 1.8m which can be configured however it suits the group.- Easy glide chairs on rollers- Separate cutting table- 3 x Design walls- Large slimline light box- Numerous irons and a patchwork iron & ironing boards- Cutting boards – a range of sizes- Plenty of power points, extension cords and power boards - A large outdoor, undercover area set up with tables for sandwiching and basting quilts. (Great if you use spray!)- Emergency supplies are also on hand including rotary cutter, threads, machine needles, pins, etcJust bring your projects and sewing machine. And, remember, check out is not until 4pm which enables you to complete a full day of productive activity before leaving for home – until next time............
Breakfast provisions
Your accommodation comes with an extensive range of breakfast provisions for self catering including: juice, a range of cereals, yoghurt, eggs, smoked salmon, bread for toast as well as various spreads.There is a fully self contained kitchen with SMEG stove top and oven. Microwave and electrical appliances including coffee pod machine, slow cooker, nutribullet, sandwich press, mixing beaters, etc. There is a wide variety of tea and coffee supplied for your use when in residence.Adjoining the kitchen is a large dining area with a table to seat 12 guests as well as a comfortably spacious lounge room providing plenty of room to spread out.
Dining options
The pantry has all those little extras you need for cooking – loads of herbs and spices, flour, sugar and oil. There's a gas barbeque and a full range of quality kitchen facilities so there’s no need to even leave the property during your stay!
Or you might like to enjoy a meal out at one of the many quality wineries or eating venues that the Mornington Peninsula is famous for.

Cancellation policy:- Bookings are fully transferable up to 60 days prior to scheduled arrival date.- If cancellation is made less than 120 days prior to scheduled arrival date, 50% of the deposit will be refunded. If your initial dates can be rebooked a full refund of your deposit will be made.- No refund or transfer will be given if guests fail to arrive. - An administration fee of $50 applies for changes to bookings.
